Vetter Expands in Asia-Pacific
The company has officially opened a local brand office in South Korean to support its existing business in the region.
On Nov. 9, 2017, Vetter, a German contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), announced its expansion in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region with the official opening of a new branch office in South Korea. Located in Songdo, the new office is based within the biologics cluster that houses a number of biopharmaceutical companies and service providers.
The CDMO has had an ongoing strategy to strengthen its footprint in APAC, establishing its APAC hub in Singapore in 2014 and subsequently forming a Japanese subsidiary by opening an office in Tokyo in 2015. In addition, the company has been active in the South Korean market for years, and the opening of the new local office will better position it to support its existing business in the region as well as allow the company to meet the stringent development, manufacturing, and packaging requirements of its injectable drugs. The CDMO is a major provider of prefilled drug-delivery systems.
“Today is yet another milestone for our company. This new office will allow us to directly serve both local and global companies with South Korean market interests,” said Vetter Managing Director Peter Soelkner in a company press release. “We are certain that our market presence and activities in this market will serve as an additional base and contribution for Vetter’s future global organic growth.”
