Event Overview:

Gain confidence in your analytical results with faster, more streamlined workflows for mAbs and complex proteins. In this webcast, learn about:

  • Rapid sample preparation of released N-glycans using a novel fluorescence and MS-active labeling reagent
  • Automated sample preparation for the high throughput HILIC-based LC–MS N-glycan analysis
  • Improved resolution and recovery for acidic glycans—a complementary separation to traditional HILIC
  • An automated workflow for characterization and quality monitoring of O-glycosylated biopharmaceutical by LC–MS presented by Genovis

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Effective chromatographic methods for highly polar glycans
  • Addressing the challenges of glycan analysis (i.e., sample preparation, data analysis)
  • How to identify easily low abundance N-linked glycans
  • Addressing challenges of glycan analysis of new modalities

Who Should Attend:

  • Biopharmaceutical scientists
  • mAbs, ADCs, fusion proteins in drug characterization, discovery and development
  • Contract research organizations (CROs)
  • Contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs)
  • Universities/research

Speakers

Paula Phenix
Principal Product Marketing Manager
Waters

Paula Phenix has been with Waters since 2019 where she has had product marketing management responsibilities for the Specialty (PATROL, UPC2, APC) and Purification Systems product portfolios in the Global LC Product Management organization. Prior to joining Waters, Paula was at MilliporeSigma in the Single-use (SU) Bioprocessing Product Management group and had product management responsibilities for SU Mobius mixers. Stephan M. Koza, Ph.D.
Consulting Scientist
Waters

Stephan M. Koza, Ph.D. has worked at Waters Corporation for nine years and leads an applications group that focuses on the use of LC, LC–MS, and sample preparation chemistries and columns for the analysis of biomolecules. Prior to Waters, Stephan worked with Genetics Institute, Wyeth, and Pfizer on biopharmaceutical characterization and analytical method development.

Dr. Magdalena Widgren-Sandberg
Application Scientist
Genovis

Magdalena Widgren Sandberg joined the Genovis team in 2014. As an Application Scientist her role involves characterization of novel enzymes, developing LC–MS based workflows for protein characterization based on Genovis enzymes as well as supporting customers in introducing Genovis enzymes into their assays. Between 2018 and 2021 Magdalena did an industrial PhD at the CRO for MS services Alphalyse in Odense, Denmark with focus on development of robust characterization methods for therapeutic proteins by LC–MS. Magdalena holds a M. Sc. in Engineering Nanoscience from Lund University and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Hamburg.
