Event Overview:
The rise of innovative therapeutics, such as antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and next-generation monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), has transformed the biopharmaceutical landscape. Yet, their complex structures continue to pose significant challenges for comprehensive characterization. Explore advanced mass spectrometry approaches that deliver precise characterization of complex therapeutics. Learn how EAD-enabled LC-MS workflows allow for accurate PTM localization, characterization of O-glycosylation, DAR calculation, and isomer differentiation, in 2 separate presentations.
Key Learning Objectives:
- Enhance analytical confidence for glycoprotein studies using an LC-MS workflow
- Understand the components of an integrated LC–MS workflow for cysteine-linked ADCs
- Discover the advantages of EAD-enabled workflows on SCIEX mass spectrometers
Who Should Attend:
- Scientists, Senior Scientists, Analytical Development Scientists, Drug Development Scientists
Speakers:
Patrick Schindler
Senior Principal Scientist
NOVARTIS, Biologics Research Center
Patrick Schindler earned a doctorate at Strasbourg University, pioneering mass spectrometry methods to analyze challenging proteins. After postdoctoral research in proteomics at UCSF, Schindler joined Ciba-Geigy (now Novartis) in 1993 to focus on recombinant protein analysis. Since 2007, Schindler has led the Basel MS lab at the Biologics Research Center, specializing in mass spectrometric characterization of biologics—including antibodies, bispecifics, ADCs, therapeutic proteins, RLTs, and AAVs—while continuously advancing the lab’s expertise to meet the demands of diverse molecular projects.
Jingwen Ding, PhD
Senior Technical Product Manager
SCIEX
Jingwen Ding, PhD, is a senior technical product manager at SCIEX, where she is focused on
the development and refinement of icIEF-UV/MS workflows to address the need for reliable charge heterogeneity information. She earned her PhD in chemistry from the University of Connecticut and her undergraduate degree from Nankai University
