Disposable Filtration Device Improves Bioburden Testing
The EZ-Fit Filtration Unit, a ready-to-use, disposable filtration device for bioburden testing from EMD Millipore, the Life Science division of Merck KGaA, increases reliability and streamlines workflows.
The EZ-Fit Filtration Unit, a ready-to-use, disposable filtration device for bioburden testing from EMD Millipore, the Life Science division of Merck KGaA, increases reliability and streamlines workflows. The unit, which conforms to international standards and water testing regulations, can be used for filtration of liquid samples including water, raw materials, in-process samples, and final products.
The shape of the funnel and the plastic material minimize sample residue. The design reduces the risk of leaks and prevents samples from bypassing the membrane, allowing filtration of the entire volume. The unit is presterilized and the lid remains in place during filtration to prevent contamination. To further maintain sample integrity, a rim prevents forceps from accidentally touching the membrane filtration area during transfer.
