CPhI Accepting Applications for 2016 Pharma Awards

CPhI is now accepting applications for the 2016 CPhI Pharma Awards. The Pharma Awards are presented annually on the first night of CPhI Worldwide at the Pharma Awards Gala. Applications will be accepted until August 21, 2016, and individuals and companies from across the industry are encouraged to apply, CPhI said in a June 22, 2016 press announcement.

Now in their 13th year, the CPhI Pharma Awards honor companies and individuals driving the pharmaceutical industry forward through innovations, new approaches, technologies, and strategies. The 2016 awards are split into 12 categories including:

• Excellence in Pharma: API Development

• Excellence in Pharma: Formulation and Excipients

• Excellence in Pharma: Packaging 

• Excellence in Pharma: Drug Delivery Devices

• Excellence in Pharma: Contract Services & Outsourcing 

• Excellence in Pharma: Regulatory Procedures and Compliance

• Excellence in Pharma: Supply Chain, Logistics & Distribution 

• Excellence in Pharma: Analysis, Testing, and Quality Control

• Excellence in Pharma: Bioprocessing

• Excellence in Pharma: Manufacturing Technology and Equipment

• Excellence in Pharma: Corporate Social Responsibility

• Excellence in Pharma: CEO of the Year 

This list includes four new categories, created with the intention of accommodating increasing demand across the pharma supply chain, CPhI noted. The new categories, honoring excellence in pharma, include Drug Delivery and Devices, Regulatory Procedures and Compliance, Analysis, Testing and Quality Control, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Those interested can submit applications on the CPhI awards website. Finalists will be announced in September 2016. The CPhI Worldwide conference will take place from Oct. 4–6, 2016 in Barcelona, Spain. CPhI, Pharmaceutical Technology, and BioPharm International are all UBM plc brands.
