Duncan Low is a consultant providing technical services in raw materials management and risk management to both manufacturers and suppliers in the biopharmaceutical industry. His broad experience includes his role as a scientific executive director at Amgen (2003 – 2017), where he led the raw materials global network and materials science teams. Prior to joining Amgen he held vice-president positions at Millipore and Pharmacia Biotech.

Bo is a free consultant with his own company, NIPU Konsult HB in Sweden. He has been working for CMC Biologics since 2008 after some years as consultant. Before that he has been working at Pharmacia Diagnostics. Pharmacia Biotech, Pharmacia Bioprocess Technology (Uppsala, Sweden) and BioInvent

International (Lund, Sweden).

Bo started working with preparative chromatography in 1978 at Pharmacia Diagnostics and has been in the business since then in different roles. At Pharmacia Biotech and Pharmacia Bioprocess Technology he was responsible for the large scale laboratory and was part of engineering the BioProcess systems and has been writing parts of the chromatography handbooks released by Pharmacia – GE Healthcare. At BioInvent International he was Manager in DSP, both for Development and Manufacturing. His role at CMC Biologics now is Senior Technology Specialist covering downstream processing for the commercial projects. He has also, since 2009, participated in the MBI Training Program at UCL as Expert Speaker each year at the Chromatography Week.

Hans J Johansson is Global Applications Director at Purolite Life Sciences, Llantrisant, Wales. He has spent more than 30 years in the Biotech industry. Most of the time in research and development at Pharmacia/Amersham/GE Healthcare with a special focus on design and applications of industrial chromatography resins intended for antibody purification. He frequently publishes in scientific journals and is the holder of more than ten patents around resin design and large-scale protein purification. He is currently working with development and applications of novel, agarose-based, chromatography resins.
