The Pre-Connect Congress will explore pharma industry trends, such as mergers and acquisitions, the biologics market outlook, and innovation in drug delivery among others.

CPhI Worldwide, organized by UBM EMEA, will once again kick off with the Pre-Connect Congress when the global pharma community returns to Madrid October 13–15, 2015.

Now in its seventh year, the Pre-Connect Congress brings together senior representatives and key stakeholders from all areas of the industry to connect, network, and share expertise. Approximately 300 attendees from more than 180 different organizations across 34 countries are expected to gather at the Novotel Campo de las Naciones, Madrid, Spain, on Monday October 12, 2015.

Speakers will discuss the latest advances, innovations, and trends in the pharma industry. Excipient development for drug delivery systems, the dynamics of the generic drug business model, and the shift towards continuous processing are just some of the topics that will be addressed in a series of six modules.

The program features two tracks, with modules offering insights on:

  • Drug delivery & design

  • Generics

  • Biologics, biosimilars & biobetters

  • Pharmaceutical packaging

  • API sourcing & manufacture

  • Mergers and acquisitions

The modules have been designed to provide information on the novel techniques and tools to improve bioavailability, solubility, and controlled release; strategic API sourcing and supply chain management opportunities; finding reliable partners; and keeping pace with market trends.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from senior representatives and influential speakers on the commercial outlook in the Senior Leadership Theatre, as well as gain essential regulatory insights from a speaker with more than 30 years FDA experience in the Regulatory Keynote.
