The new facility in Grand Rapids, MI, is part of the CDMO’s aggressive expansion plan.

US-based Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing (GRAM), a parenteral contract, development, and manufacturing organization (CDMO), has completed a $60-million expansion project in Grand Rapids, MI, and recently began occupancy at the site, the company announced in a June 30, 2020 press release.

With the expansion completed, the CDMO opened its new large-scale aseptic fill/finish facility in Grand Rapids, which more than triples its existing footprint. The added capacity, updated technologies, and state-of-the-art equipment provide flexible solutions for complex sterile injectables.

The new facility is part of the GRAM campus and is the third fill/finish facility for the company, giving it more than 100,000 ft2 of dedicated space that features:

  • A fully integrated, high-speed Bausch+Ströbel filling line

  • SKAN isolators and an IMA lyophilizer auto-loader

  • Grade C cleanroom and formulation suites.
