The automated NucleoCounter from New Brunswick Scientific use disposable cassettes, prefilled with propidium iodide for accurately counting cells. When done, the cassettes are disposed of, without the user ever coming in contact with messy dyes. The compact systems are easy to use, eliminate operator subjectivity for more accurate counts, and use a small sample volume (2 mL). They accommodate all cell types, and there is no need for warm-up time, calibration, or maintenance.
