Thermo Fisher Scientific has expanded its state-of-the-art R&D facility in Hyderabad, India.
Thermo Fisher Scientific announced on April 28, 2022 that it has expanded its new R&D and engineering facility, India Engineering Center (IEC) in Hyderabad, India. The IEC is part of the company’s R&D Center of Excellence in India and is anticipated to bring an additional 140 new jobs to the region.
The company reported in a press release that the new expansion of the IEC will employ over 450 engineers and vendor partners and support new product development. The facility, which is 42,000 sq. ft, will be used to design and develop instruments, perform product reliability performance testing and verification, and validate products.
“Hyderabad city is a hotspot for talent acquisition, home to world-renowned R&D institutes, and is one of India's fastest-growing engineering, life sciences, and IT knowledge hubs,” said Tony Acciarito, president, Asia Pacific & Japan, Thermo Fisher Scientific, in a press release. “The expansion of the facility is a testament to Thermo Fisher’s unwavering commitment to supporting change by accelerating innovation, improving time to market for new products.”
