Event Overview:
Due to their ability to treat a wide variety of diseases, there is increased demand for biopharmaceuticals. While monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are one of the most common biotherapeutic classes produced today, the development of other unique and challenging molecules is rapidly rising. These new therapeutic modalities present new challenges in the downstream process of these molecules. With the increased trend toward development of a 2-step chromatography process and higher protein doses, improved performance during the chromatography steps is required. Hence, process development scientists are looking for new tools that will clear even more impurities in a single step while maintaining high recoveries and process flexibility.
In this webcast, we will discuss the attributes of Thermo Scientific POROS Ion Exchange and Hydrophobic Interaction chromatography resins, addressing purification challenges of today’s biomolecules.
