Avecia Appoints New Quality Director

Avecia (Tees Valley, UK, www.avecia.com) has appointed Peter Williams to the position of Quality Director for its biologics business. Williams has more than 30 years of experience in quality management at various pharmaceutical companies, including Sanofi Synthelabo, Astra Pharmaceuticals, and GlaxoSmithKline. Avecia also named Nicole O’Brien, PhD, commercial development manager, biologics, for the US West Coast.
