Jeff Shumway

Jeff Shumway is currently responsible for Regional Management of Life Sciences Accounts on the West Coast of North America at Entegris. In this role, he directs strategic account management and spearheads growth initiatives, focusing on the implementation of innovative solutions for life sciences business partners.
Prior to his current role, Jeff was the Associate Director of Global Growth Programs at MilliporeSigma, a business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, where he led strategic initiatives to drive global growth and innovation. During his 18-year tenure at MilliporeSigma, Jeff managed a team of technology specialists supporting the Formulation and Drug Delivery portfolio, focusing on the interplay between chemical and process technologies in formulation development and implementation. He also held various roles within the technology specialist and commercial sales organizations, consistently supporting pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical partners from a process technology perspective.
Before joining MilliporeSigma, Jeff spent 10 years at Applied Biosystems (now Thermo Fisher), where he held positions in Research and Development, Quality Control, Quality Systems Management, and Operations. His responsibilities included developing and commercializing novel chemiluminescent formulations and support technologies for platform screening, diagnostics, and protein assay and analysis.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Cellular Biology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Thermo Fisher Opens Advanced Therapies Collaboration Center in California
April 18th 2025The 6000-square-foot facility will provide cell therapy developers the support they need to transition to CGMP manufacturing, and an expanded footprint of the new center is expected to open in Philadelphia later in 2025.
