Handheld Analyzer Improves Accuracy
Rigaku Raman Technologies’ handheld ramen analyzer, the Rigaku Progeny, is designed to deliver accurate materials identification and improve ease of use, adaptability, and reliability. The Progeny has a 1064 nm high-power excitation laser, which increases speed and sensitivity of analysis and minimizes fluorescence interferences. A 512-pixel detector delivers improved resolution, analytics, and signal-to-noise ratio for handling challenging mixture analyses. The sealed system (IP-68) guards against moisture and dust, enabling rugged warehouse use and easy cleaning while minimizing cross-contamination risk.
The ergonomic design and shape provide single-hand entry into industrial barrels/drums, allowing users to view the screen while the instrument is in a downward orientation. The Progeny’s customizable workflow software is 21 CFR Part 11 compliant and has a smart phone-inspired user interface allowing quick implementation of material ID methods.
