Blue Heron Biotechnology has a new CEO

John Fess has been appointed chief executive officer of Blue Heron Biotechnology (Bothell, WA, www.blueheronbio.com). Fess brings 25 years of experience to Blue Heron and succeeds John Mulligan, PhD, Blue Heron’s founder, who will become the company’s board chairman and chief scientific officer. Previously, as chief operating officer of Blue Heron Bio, Fess oversaw sales, marketing, manufacturing, and information systems, and directed ongoing redesign and deployment of critical business systems.
