The company will showcase workflow solutions for sample prep and data analysis.

Thermo Scientific is displaying the company’s new UHPLC-MS workflow solutions for biopharmaceutical characterization at Pittcon 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia. The workflows include solutions for sample prep, data analysis, in addition to new instruments, consumables, and software. The workflows include the SMART Digest Kit, Vanquish Flex UHPLC, Dionex Chromeleon 7.2 Chromatography Data System, MAbPac RP column, and the BioPharma Finder software.

The SMART Digest Kit is a protein digestion kit for the biopharmaceutical applications that uses a three-step process that can be automated. According to the company, the kit is designed to reduce sample preparation time and produce high-quality data.

According to a press announcement from the company, the Dionex Chromeleon 7.2 Chromatography Data system allows scientists to answer questions that frequently arise during method development. The BioPharma Finder software provides lot/batch comparisons to promote quality. According to the company, the software also uses two deconvolution algorithms and facilitates confirmation of amino acid sequence and identification of the site and type of expected and unexpected post-translational modifications, providing the relative amount of each modification.

The Vanquish Flex UHPLC is an ultra-high performance liquid chromatography system that offers reliable separations with the flexibility required for labs developing methods such as high-throughput analyses to pharmaceutical high quality control applications. According to the company, users can mix and match modules on the system, depending on application demands.
