A Novel Ion Exchange Phase media for High-Resolution Charge Profiling of Various Biopharmaceutical Modalities
This webcast is now available on demand!
Event Overview:
Ion exchange separations are routinely used for quality attribute profiling of various biopharmaceutical format, be it charge variant analysis of monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins or determination of the capsid fill state of viral vectors for gene therapy.
This webinar presents a novel stationary phase media for ion exchange separations that delivers the highest resolution separation with lot-to-lot consistency. Application results for charge variant profiling of monoclonal antibodies and their various biosimilars, and the determination of full and empty AAV viral vector chromatographic separation hyphenated with native MS and direct mass technology mode charge detection will be described.
Key Learning Objectives:
Learn about a novel monodisperse ion exchange media for strong cation and anion exchange separation to accelerate your analytical development.
Learn about using LC–HRAM MS instruments for charge variant analysis of protein biopharmaceutics and full/empty AAV capsid ratio CQAs determination.
Who Should Attend:
For biopharmaceutical analytical staff who need reliability and resolution power when identifying and quantifying charge variants profiles of proteins in analytical development and QC environments.
Featured Speakers
Ke Ma, PhD
Staff Scientist, Research & Development
Thermo Fisher Scientific
Dr Ke Ma
completed his PhD in Analytical Chemistry at Michigan State University in 2019. Following graduation, he joined PPD as a senior scientist, where he specialized in the development and validation of methods for small molecule therapeutics. Later, in 2022, Dr Ma joined Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he currently focuses on developing new bio-columns for various applications in large molecule therapeutics, including IEX, RP, SEC, and more.
Jonathan Bones, PhD
Principal Investigator
The National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT)
Dr Jonathan Bones
received his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Dublin City University in 2007. He then transitioned to NIBRT, to Professor Pauline M. Rudd’s lab. In 2010, Dr Bones moved to the Barnett Institute of Chemical and Biological Analysis at Northeastern University, Boston, to work with Professor Barry L. Karger. In 2012, he returned to NIBRT, where he currently services as a principal investigator of the NIBRT Characterization and Comparability Laboratory. Dr Bones is also an associate professor for the School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering at University College Dublin.
