Scottish Stem Cell Network Ltd.
SSCN Ltd was created as a not-for-profit company to deliver the objectives of the Scottish Stem Cell Network which was established in 2003. The network aims to provide the interdisciplinary activities to support the translation of scientific expertise into therapeutic benefits for patients and economic strength for Scotland. The company has a $3 million funding commitment from Scottish Enterprise.
BioDundee
Dundee, Scotland's City of Discovery, is an international center for life sciences research, with companies, universities, research institutions and scientists all within a three mile radius. It has a growing reputation within the fields of cancer research, cell biology, drug metabolism, diabetes research, bioinformatics, diagnostics and environmental biotechnology. Over 3,800 life scientists are employed in the area, and the city is populated by spin-out companies that are a testament to the scientific research to be found.
