Biotest is a provider of controlled environment monitoring instrumentation. Biotest offers the HYCON System—a comprehensive line of environmental monitoring products. The HYCON system includes the Biotest RCS air samplers which are easy to operate. When used with HYCON agar media strips, they help ensure a secure and accurate sample. Battery-operated, handheld, and portable Airborne Particle Counters are offered for the detection of airborne particulate contamination. For surface sampling, Biotest Contact Slides are used for curved surfaces and come in self-contained packaging to prevent secondary contamination.

Products and Services

Biotest has recently introduced the APC M3. At 100 LPM (liters per minute), the APC M3 Portable Airborne Particle Counter samples a cubic meter of air in 10 minutes. To sample one cubic meter of air, conventional 1 CFM (28.3 LPM) particle counters must sample for 35 minutes. Fifty LPM instruments sample for 20 minutes. The APC M3 helps users reduce costs, save time and increase productivity. Biotest also provides handheld particle counters.

Biotest RCS Microbial Air Samplers are handheld battery operated air samplers that provide reliable results through a proven technology. The featured RCS High Flow, with a flow rate of 100 L/min, reduces sampling time to 10 minutes for 1m3 of air. Its air direction ring also reduces turbulence in unidirectional flow areas.

Both the APC Airborne Particle Counters and RCS Microbial Air Samplers come with Compressed Gas Adapters, used to investigate the microbiological content of pressurized gases. We also provide agar media, including Contact Slides for fast and secure surface sampling.

Facilities

Biotest offers comprehensive industrial microbial lab facilities. A quantitative analysis of all samples is available, including total counts of bacteria, yeasts, and molds. Also, its qualitative analysis includes isolation and identification to genus and species level.
